Crystal Windows Continues to Supply Harbor Point Development
–National Manufacturer Completes Delivery for Six Buildings at Prestigious Stamford, CT Waterfront Community, with More to Come–

FLUSHING, NY, June 16, 2014 – Crystal Window & Door Systems, the award-winning national manufacturer, continues supplying fenestration products for new phases of the massive Stamford, CT Harbor Point Development. Over the past four years, Crystal has furnished high-end aluminum window and door products for six of the development's major new mid- and high-rise buildings. Crystal continues to be a preferred fenestration supplier for the prestigious LEED-ND Gold waterfront project and was recently awarded a seventh building. The company further anticipates additional window supply projects at Harbor Point. To date, Crystal has furnished and is under contract to furnish in total over 10,700 fenestration products for the development.

Three years ago, Crystal was awarded the fenestration supply contract for two of the development´s early residential buildings – The Lock Works at Yale & Towne. Following the completion with almost 3,000 windows and doors of these two structures in 2011 and 2012, Crystal was selected to furnish approximately 5,600 windows, sliding patio doors and swing terrace doors for four additional new buildings – Postmark Apartments (two buildings), The Key Apartments, and 111 Harbor Point, completed in 2013. The seventh building (which has not been formally named at this time) for which Crystal has been awarded a fenestration supply contract is currently under construction. Crystal has begun shipping for installation what is expected to be a total of approximately 2,100 windows and doors for the new building.

Located over a broad expanse of Stamford´s formerly rundown industrial and commercial waterfront properties, the multi-year Harbor Point project, with over 7.6 million square feet of space, is one of the largest ongoing redevelopment efforts in the nation. The development includes many new and rehabilitated buildings and spaces for upscale apartments, commercial retail stores, a major supermarket, parking, commercial and professional offices, parks, recreation and transportation services.

The Harbor Point redevelopment project has received LEED-ND Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its sustainable design. The owner and developer is Building & Land Technology of Stamford, the architect is EDI International of New York and Houston, and the urban planning design is by Sasaki Associates of Boston and San Francisco.
