Crystal Department Head Receives Business Award

FLUSHING, NY, June 24, 2010 - Crystal Window & Door Systems is pleased to announce that Isabella Leung, Manager of the company's Human Resources Department, was recently honored by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) as one of the 2010 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business. This significant award recognizes the Asian-American entrepreneurs and business leaders who have made significant contributions in corporate America, their communities and the economy.

The AABDC Award Ceremony was held on June 10, 2010 at the New York Hilton in Manhattan. Keynote Speaker David Hinson, National Director for the Minority Business Development Agency of the US Department of Commerce, addressed the attendees for the black tie gala event.

It was quite an honor to be on stage with so many distinguished award winners, noted Isabella Leung. I truly enjoy my work with the employees at Crystal, and to be recognized by AABDC for it is thrilling and definitely a surprise. Isabella Leung continues the tradition of excellence at Crystal in receiving the AABDC award, as several other Crystal executives and managers, including Crystal President Thomas Chen and Executive Vice President Steve Chen, having earned the distinction over the past decade.

Isabella is responsible for all areas of Human Resources, including compensation, benefits, hiring, and employment compliance issues for well over 300 employees at Crystals New York headquarters, national branch operations and subsidiaries. She also oversees all training functions, including job-specific technical training, safety procedures, customer service and managerial training. Isabella has implemented numerous corporate programs to enhance employment and manage costs more efficiently with tremendous results. Additionally, she has acted as the corporate leader for several charitable and community activities, including company blood drives and the Haiti Earthquake Relief employee donations.

Isabella holds a Masters Degree in Labor and Human Relations from Ohio State University and an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Business Administration from Indiana State University. She has been with Crystal since 2002. Originally from Hong Kong, Isabella resides in Flushing, Queens.
