CRYSTAL WINDOWS EXECUTIVE SHARES SUCCESS STRATEGIES
Steve Chen Speaks at Queens College Business Forum on Success in a Global Economy

Crystal Executive Vice President Steve Chen addresses business community members at the Queens College Business Forum FLUSHING, NY, November 2, 2007 - Crystal Window & Door Systems Executive Vice President Steve Chen was the keynote speaker at the Queens College Business Forum today. Steve Chen, who guides the day-to-day operations of the Queens manufacturing firm started by his father, spoke to a group of over 100 prominent members of the New York business community and media about Crystal's experience with growth. New York City Council Member and mayoral candidate Tony Avella introduced Mr. Chen.

Mr. Chen discussed the challenges Crystal faced in growing from an immigrant startup enterprise to its current status as a major manufacturer with national and international reach. "Being a minority firm, Crystal faced cultural and language challenges, in addition to the typical challenges faced by any small business," said Mr. Chen. "We developed some very creative solutions to address these issues, which allowed the company to grow and be successful." Mr. Chen shared Crystal's unique challenges and solutions with the Forum attendees through numerous examples. He also discussed Crystal's strategies for succeeding in a global economy, including seeking new opportunities here and abroad, conducting pilot programs before major investments, leveraging strengths with new practices and partners, and giving back to the community. Following the formal presentation, Mr. Chen mingled with attendees, answering questions and sharing business tips.

Launched in 2005, the central theme of the Queens College Business Forum is the Borough of Queens' role as a catalyst for success. The Forum provides the opportunity for the business, academic and public policy communities to raise and discuss issues important for the vitality of Queens and has featured presentations from key executives of major organizations such as FreshDirect, Silvercup Studios, the New York Mets, and Consolidated Edison.
