FLUSHING, NY, May 7, 2018 –At its 81st Annual Conference this past February, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) recognized Crystal Window & Door Systems on its milestone 25 years of membership. AAMA is the leading fenestration association which establishes performance testing standards for the window and door industry.
“Crystal has been a member of AAMA since 1992, practically since we opened our doors for business,” said Steve Chen, President of Crystal Windows. “Early on we recognized the technical value, professionalism, and prestige participation in this association brings to manufacturers, and we knew it was a tremendous source of information critical to our success. Over the course of our quarter century of membership, we’ve gained knowledge of window design and performance standards and code requirements, and we have ensured our products are tested and certified to these high standards.”
Also through its membership in AAMA, Crystal has been trained and approved as an instructor for architect and fenestration installer courses. As an approved trainer, Crystal conducts the two-day InstallationMaster® Training and Certification Program originally designed by AAMA for window installers, helping many of its installation customers receive this professional credential.
“Crystal is proud of its long-term dedication to furthering the growth, stature, and professionalism of the fenestration industry, and the company’s commitment as a member of AAMA is one demonstration of that,” said Chen. “We look forward to continuing to be a part of this organization for many years.”
Since 1936, AAMA has been an advocate for the fenestration industry, addressing standards, testing, certification, and building code issues on behalf of product manufacturers, suppliers and test labs with member participation. Membership in AAMA has come to be recognized as a symbol of a fenestration manufacturer’s commitment to professionalism.
