FLUSHING, NY, June 19, 2018 –As part of its recent New York area Top Customer Recognition Celebration, Crystal Window & Door Systems featured a “Dunk Tank” fundraiser for St. Mary’s Kids. Crystal President Steve Chen, along with other executives, volunteered to be plunged into a tank of water as their trade customer guests tossed balls at the release target in exchange for contributions. The company executives were immersed numerous times to the delight of the crowd, and the event raised $1,100 for St. Mary’s Hospital for Children.
The Crystal Top Customer Recognition Celebration was held at Terrace on the Park in Corona, NY, and was attended by over 300 fenestration trade customers, company suppliers, business affiliates, and company staff. The carnival-themed evening featured games of skill, a sledge hammer bell-ringing challenge, prizes, magicians, musical guests, and summer barbeque food in addition to the “Dunk Tank” fundraiser.
For nearly 150 years, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, located in Bayside, NY and Long Island, has provided advanced medical care for children born or stricken with life threatening illnesses and conditions, and support for their families. Their programs now touch 4,000 children a day, both at St. Mary’s facilities and at homes throughout the New York metro area. A supporter for many years, Steve Chen was honored by St. Mary’s at their 2017 Gala Dinner which raised over $630,000 for the hospital.
